Every document that we are allowed to share from our campaign to save the Prince of Wales Theatre. Our Community Asset Transfer bid. The council’s evaluation report. Our detailed response. The financial models. Everything.
We are releasing these documents as we promised from the start to maintain full transparency with our supporters. All documents are available on our website – princeofwalestheatre.com/campaign-document-archive.
And once you’ve had time to read it all, we’d like to meet.
Public Meeting
Sunday 12th October, 11.00am
The Aquarius, Hednesford
Why a public meeting?
Because more than 20,000 people signed a petition to save this theatre. Hundreds of you have donated money, shared posts, questioned councillors, and told us to keep going.
This isn’t a campaign rally. It’s not a fundraising pitch. It’s a chance to understand what’s been happening and ask your questions as residents of Cannock Chase – and we’ll answer as honestly as we can.
What we’ll cover:
✓ The Community Asset Transfer process – what we submitted and how it was scored
✓ The current fundraising position
✓ What happens next – the real options, not the wishful thinking
✓ Your questions with our honest answers
Who this is for:
Everyone.
If you’ve been following this from the start, you’ll get the context behind the updates. If you’ve been sceptical, this is your chance to interrogate the evidence. If you’re somewhere in between, come and ask questions to understand further.
This has never been just about a building. It’s about whether Cannock is the kind of place that fights for its cultural spaces, or the kind of place that lets them disappear without asking hard questions.
See you on the 12th.
