We’ve been incredibly moved by the wave of community support since launching our campaign to save the Prince of Wales Theatre. Your dedication continues to fuel our momentum as we work towards preserving this vital cultural space for generations to come.
A Note on Celebrity Outreach
Your passion for our campaign has been absolutely brilliant! We’ve noticed many of you have taken initiative by reaching out to celebrities and public figures to gain support for our cause.
While we’re genuinely touched by your enthusiasm, we’d like to kindly ask that you hold fire on contacting celebrities or organisations directly for the time being.
Here’s why this matters: Multiple uncoordinated approaches might actually make it less likely for us to secure meaningful support. When public figures receive numerous requests about the same cause from different people, it can create confusion about who officially represents the campaign.
Instead, we suggest: If you have connections or ideas for potential campaign ambassadors, please email us at [email protected] with details. Our team can then coordinate an approach that:
🔹 Presents our case professionally
🔹 Includes all the necessary background information
🔹 Makes a clear, specific request for support
🔹 Follows up appropriately
This way, we can maximise our impact and build relationships that truly benefit our campaign.
Fundraising Committee Kick-Off Meeting

This meeting will bring together everyone interested in actively supporting our fundraising efforts. We’ll share our strategy, discuss upcoming events, and form teams based on your interests and skills.

What’s Next?
We’ve recently secured a grant from the Theatres Trust’s Resilient Theatres: Resilient Communities programme to develop our business plan, fundraising and audience development strategies. This represents a vital vote of confidence in our campaign and provides us with essential resources to strengthen our proposal.
Our team is now working closely with theatre management experts to create a sustainable operational model that will ensure the Prince of Wales Theatre continues to serve our community for decades to come.
Thank You!
Every social media share and every conversation you have about saving our theatre makes a difference. This is truly a community-led movement, and we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.
Don’t forget to regularly check our website, where we maintain an archive of all our newsletters and campaign updates, along with ways to get involved.
